FREEZE!!!

Today our sliding door is being replaced with french doors and in the meantime we are FREEZING our bums off!! When I am finished posting this we are going to go hang out in my bedroom to keep warm!! Although I am excited for french doors I think it is dumb to replace them in the WINTER!!! My landlord is a dork :) andie ad wo a;/Ae ad4oai....okay so I let Ava go crazy on the keyboard for a second...just trying to distract her from the 40 degree house we are sitting in!! Here are some pictures of Aves all bundled up...and of her typing on her our blog!!

Wire Whimsy

So like I have said before, my sisters and I have started a business called Wire Whimsy. We love our product and want everyone to see what we do!! We sell a collection of uniquely antiqued wooden blocks and bent wire letters and designs. Sound confusing? How about I just show you some pictures. This stuff is completely original. There is nothing just like it on the market right now. Our product can be purchased from a few retail locations including Rod Works (yeah!!) ...and for the first time, it can be purchased online via my friend, RaeLynn's, eBay store! We are so excited to have it online because Rod Works can't keep it in stock! Check out her eBay store to see how you can purchase Wire Whimsy products for a better price (click on this link:)

To see more of our product you can also go to our blog (still in the making) by clicking here

...or email us directly for detailed questions: wirewhimsy@gmail.com. Prepare yourself--you will love these.

I am really excited for Thanksgiving and am looking forward to making new recipes!! I am a Food Network fanatic and especially love Paula Dean. My mother-in-law gave me some Apple Butter and so I thought I would make one of Paula's recipes since I have all the ingredients!! Here is the recipe....Have a Happy Thanksgiving!!

Apple Butter Pumpkin Pie Recipe courtesy Paula Deen
Show: Food Network Specials
Episode: Paula's Southern Thanksgiving

1 cup apple butter
1 cup fresh or canned pumpkin
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
3/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/8 teaspoon ground ginger
3 eggs, slightly beaten
3/4 cup evaporated milk
1 unbaked 9-inch pie shell
Sweetened whipped cream, for garnish

Preheat oven to 425 degrees F.
Combine apple butter, pumpkin, sugar, salt and spices in a bowl. Stir in eggs. Gradually add milk and mix well. Pour into pie shell. Bake for about 40 minutes or until set.

Cook's Notes:
-If the crust begins to burn, place tin foil around the crust and lower the temperature of the oven.
-A tasty topping for this pie is praline pecans.

Painting!!

My dad is fixing up a house in South Jordan and as soon as he is done Christian and I will be moving into it for about a year. It is going to be very nice and we are excited but in the meantime getting the place ready is sooooo annoying. We are painting the whole place a light brown and OMG I hate painting. Prepping for the paint is horrible too!! What a pain to tape ceiling, baseboards, doors, outlets! I just want the place to be done so that we can move in before Christmas. I don't know how people can flip houses for a living! What a pain ;)

Butterfield Canyon Reflections

We went up Butterfield Canyon today to overlook the Salt Lake Valley and Copper mine. We all really enjoyed ourselves and had a quiet minute to reflect on our lives. I am very happy right now with my family. I don't know what I would do without Christian and Ava. My life is good...most of the time...and I am content with that. I know that without trials and weakness I couldn't have happiness and strength and with that here is a slideshow of my family.
