Christian and I have season tickets to Hale Centre Theatre and tonight we got to see "The Civil War". This is one of the neatest musicals I have ever seen!! If I wasn't crying then I had the chills! Honestly...if you have the chance to see this then DO IT!! Merrill Osmond stars as Captain Emmett Lochran and he does a great job. But to be honest with you the slavery scenes and gospel music were AMAZING! I didn't want it to end but of course all good things come to an end. It's funny because this musical doesn't have much of a story line. This has been a complaint about this musical but Hale Centre Theatre pulled this off so magnificently. Like all of their plays, this one was so personal. The songs are amazing. I could go on and on about this play! My brother-in-law is in that show. I am glad you like it. I will have to go see it. When you have family in professional theatre, you don't make it to all the shows.
